Online Courses: All presentations are previously recorded and uploaded on our streaming website. Students may stop and restart this course at their own pace. The course consists of video, practice problems and an examination. Upon successful completion of an online test, students will be issued a certificate. Students can always call or email an instructor while working on course materials.
Depending on a person's job function, an individual may enroll in one of the following two GHS courses:
Global Harmonized System (GHS) --- for Managers (GHSMGR)
A comprehensive review of the entire updated OSHA Hazard Communication Standard. This online course includes discussions of requirements for written plans, training, labels, safety data sheets and classification (including a detailed explanation of all appendices). The course is intended for the individual responsible for writing a hazard communication plan, classification and/or creating product labels and SDSs. Depending on the individual, course will take approximately 6-7 hours at the computer.
Global Harmonized System (GHS) --- for Employees (GHSEMP)
A thorough review of the updated OSHA Hazard Communication Standard. This online course includes requirements for written plans, training, labels, safety data sheets. The course is intended for the individual who uses hazardous chemicals and needs to understand the new label elements and Safety Data Sheets. Depending upon the individual, this course will take approximately 2-3 hours at the computer.
